Camping and Fishing in Missinipe

My first catch of the trip and second in my entire life!
I made a road trip last week with my friend Stephanie Anderson of Prairie Pulse Photography. She had a wedding booked in La Ronge on Saturday and invited me to join her in Treaty 10 Territory a few days early to camp and fish before assisting her at the wedding. I am always eager to accept any invitation to La Ronge and area and loved the idea of gaining some more fishing experience.
We drove up on Wednesday and camped in a borrowed tent at Devil's Lake Campground until Saturday morning. It was cold (never above 12 degrees) and rainy our entire stay but that didn't stop us from catching fish from the docks in Missinipe, exploring the shores of Otter Rapids, or taking a dip in the frigid waters.
